Academic Organization
for Ben, Student from Bryn Mawr, PA

Ben was struggling with keeping his notebook together and therefore frequently missed assignments, often because he couldn’t find them rather than because he didn’t complete them. Being a visual learner, Ben needed easily identifiable folders that were simple to “toss” papers into with broad categories.

The main issue for Ben was taking and finding the time it would take to sort papers and set up this system. Ship Shape Strategies used a short chunk of time during an hour tutoring session to set up some simple labeled folders in his artistic notebook. Ben was glad to be able to keep using his admired binder while at the same time having made small adjustments to simplify his filing and retrieval system.
